I thought the tutorial was interesting and thought-provoking. It made a lot of sense and actually defined some things that work. Lifelong learning just seems natural to me, I can’t imagine not wanting to be learning SOMETHING. I’m always finding new things I want to know more about. It may not be so much information for which I’d want to set up a complete schedule and fill out a learning contract every time, but there will be times I may want to go that far.
When trying to decide which habit is easiest and which is hardest for me, I realized that I tend to do a few of them naturally, at least to a degree. I try to think ahead to the goal (“begin with the end in mind”), view problems as challenges (usually, but that can depend on circumstances and mood, too), and use technology whenever possible. I find myself thinking of ways to play, both while learning and using technology and with my son. It’s easy to play with my son and come up with things to do with him, but when it comes to playing for myself, whatever the reason, I seem to have a harder time actually doing. I can think of things I’d love to do, but I think I do what many parents do, and begin to put themselves second often, and forget to have fun for the sake of fun. Having fun for myself is what I need to work on more!
